Trade deficit narrows by 3.2% in the first half of 2018
Lebanon’s foreign trade deficit reached USD 8,044 million in the first half of 2018, a 3.2% narrowing
compared to a deficit of USD 8,308 million recorded during the same period in 2017. Exports
increased by a yearly 7.3% in the first half of 2018 to reach USD 1,540 million, while imports
witnessed a yearly 1.6% drop to reach USD 9,584 million during the same mentioned period.
