Unilog, a company originated in France, is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary in the Lebanese market under the name Unilog Liban. The company is full of success and achievements in terms of projects it received from many clients and from the Lebanese state, especially from the Electricity of Lebanon, the Ministry of Interior, Municipalities and others. In addition to workshops in the informatics sector aiming to develop management, training and rehabilitation of employees in the institutions of the Lebanese state.

The severe economic crisis that struck Lebanon and its multi-faceted repercussions prompted us to focus on the region’s markets while maintaining constant contact with our customers in Lebanon.

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to total or partial shutdowns of economies in various countries of the world, prompting most companies to adopt the principle of remote work, and electronic commerce has also flourished, whether at the individual or institutional level.

As an inevitable consequence of such transformation, the profits of the Internet service providers and remote access providers, such as Zoom and Microsoft Team, have made enormous profits.

Unilog Liban’s profits increased due to the size of its business and its high productivity and wasn’t really affected by the pandemic.

I have been working in this sector for more than forty years, and I have noticed that technological progress has never stopped developing and renewing.

The software industry is the modern age industry “par excellence” and is the epitome of permanent progress.

The exchange rate of the national currency has negatively affected the Lebanese market and all sectors, but at the same time we benefit from foreign projects because they pay in fresh dollars.

As for Lebanon, we are adopting partial payment in “Lollar” dollar for a limited period, especially for our loyal customers.

All markets are clearly optimistic about the prospects for the IT sector, which increases the intensity of competition.

It should be noted that despite the increase in demand, our company did not raise its prices in order to preserve its credibility and its distinguished relations with its customers.

We are working hard in our company to preserve our employees and our talents in Lebanon since everyone is working on immigrating due to the decrease in work demand and the shutdown of many companies.

We started promoting the company through our participation in exhibitions and presentations, then through word of mouth marketing.

On the other hand, SAGE’s marketing department is responsible for promoting our company and services abroad, and we in turn sell its SOFTWARE to the companies we deal with.

Our company is characterized by full commitment to the projects we receive, integration in work and many years of experience in dealing with institutions, which leads to the renewal of all agreements with our customers automatically, in addition to the expansion of the work circle to new areas knowing the company is present in more than one place. For example, we started working with CMA CGM, a leading shipping group, in the Middle East and then started expanding worldwide.

Of course, it can benefit from this new situation, given that many Lebanese companies have expanded towards regional and global markets before the pandemic and are continuing to do so.

We are proud that, as exporters of services abroad, we attract fresh money and pump it into the local economy, unlike other sectors.

It must be noted here that we work with major companies located in Europe, and we serve several French companies with branches in many countries.

The disadvantages of the year 2020 are still affecting us in 2021. Hopefully, we will witness changes after the end of the Coronavirus pandemic in 2022.

The IT sector wasn’t affected like other sectors, and we are proud to be from Lebanon with Lebanese engineers competing with the largest IT companies abroad, and that our clients are major companies abroad.

The series of accomplishments achieved by Unilog Liban are the result of long work, perseverance and correct choices made over 25 years, and its team is one of the main and fundamental reasons for its achievements.
